Main Street 2.0
Yesterday, Governor Chris Sununu announced "Main Street 2.0" - the second round of awards to provide economic support to NH small businesses suffering from business interruptions as a result of COVID-19. The application process opens Monday, October 19.
NHDOE Student Enrichment Program Grants
The funds will be available for grants to student programs that provide enrichment opportunities to K-12 students. Grants are available both for increased costs and lost revenue from the COVID-19 pandemic and for new programs designed to expand student enrichment beyond current programs. Enrichment program providers may apply for reimbursement of COVID-19 related costs from March 1, 2020 to December 15, 2020, for loss in revenues compared to 2019 revenues, and for new program expenses to be made before December 15, 2020.
Registration for 2020-21 Poetry Out Loud is Now Open
This is the 16th year of New Hampshire's Poetry Out Loud competition; last year over 7,500 NH students and a total of 10,000 people in NH participated! Any high school — public, private, or parochial, as well as home school groups — are welcomed to participate. There is no charge to compete and materials are provided. Register here.
Making It As A Maker: A Business Class for Modern Artists
Brought to you by the Vermont & New Hampshire Center for Women & Enterprise, this is a 5-part workshop created and taught by Vermont-based artists Rebecca Haas, a jeweler, and Becca Webb, a potter. To date, Rebecca & Becca have taught and supported over 175 artists and craftspeople in re-tooling their online presence to sell more of their handmade craft online during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants national program
Provides one-time grants of up to $5,000 for unexpected, recent medical, dental, and mental health emergencies experienced by visual and media artists and choreographers in the past six months. The current application cycle is open now through October 26, 2020.
